Many of my students have a strong dislike for the chest to wall handstand. I get it. It's difficult and it can feel outside your comfort zone.
However, the key to mastering a freestanding handstand is to get comfortable with the chest to wall handstand.
If, like Pat, you hate the chest to wall, try the following tips and watch the video to learn how you can build the confidence to nail this skill and get one step closer to the freestanding handstand.
- Tip #1: Find a good handstand wall
- Tip #2: Progress slowly (there's no need to immediately get as close to the wall as possible)
- Tip #3: Learn how to exit easily
